It is no surprise the NHL Bored of Gov’ners has decided to relegate the failing Edmonton Oilers to the Minor Leagues.

In a decision previously unheard of in the NHL, the Bored of Gov’ners decided to move the last place Canadian team in the 2006-2007 season to the AHL for a period of one year. Though the Canadian Gov’ners on the board were against the move, the American Gov’ners were able to pass the decision without difficulty.

Finally it arrives! Welcome SPRING!

Okay, so springtime in Alberta is a crap shoot. It can be warm today, cold tomorrow. You never know what you may wake up to. But, the forecast is promising!

Now is the time of year when I can sit back and enjoy my work. I have often heard it said that truckers earn their money in the winter and rest of the year is gravy. For the most part this is the case. Unfortunately, with the beauty that is Alberta, Canada comes the realization that anything is possible, weatherwise in this province.

“If you don’t like the weather in Alberta…… Wait a minute….”

When we moved here in the early summer of 1999 there was no way of knowing, with the 90° weather that myvery first trip through the Alberta Rockies, on the July long weekend would result in a three day layover in beautiful [tag]Banff[/tag].

Yup, [tag]Banff[/tag] is one of the most beautiful towns in Canada. It is nestled in the [tag]Alberta Rockies[/tag], a ski resort in the winter and mountain haven of rest in the summer.

[tag]Ryan Smyth[/tag][tag]Kevin Lowe[/tag] did it again. Who’s payroll is he on anyway?

Did Lowe say this, or did the Sun misprint?

Asked about the possibility of signing Smyth to return to Edmonton when he becomes a free agent July 1, Lowe said, “I can’t comment on that. He’s now the property of the New York Rangers.”

A [tag]Vancouver Canucks[/tag] fan, a [tag]Calgary Flames[/tag] fan, and an [tag]Edmonton Oilers[/tag] [tag]fan[/tag]were all in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled crate of booze. All
of a sudden, Saudi police rushed in and arrested them. The mere
possession of alcohol is a severe offence in Saudi Arabia.

So, for the terrible crime of actually being caught consuming the booze, they were
each sentenced to death! However, after many months and with the help
of very good lawyers, they were able to successfully appeal their
